This week, with SHYSTA HABIB, 25, law graduate and finalist in the Asian Women of Achievement Awards
MEMORY: My first day at school -- Bradley Primary School in Nelson. My favourite teacher was Mrs Richardson.
HOME: I was born in Burnley but I have lived in Nelson all my life. I lived with my dad Ghulam and mum Fatima in Dalton Street before we moved to Bankhouse Road 18 years ago.
HOLIDAY: My parents came from Pakistan and when I was eight we went there to see relatives and friends, travelling through different countries in a coach.
SCHOOLFRIEND: Sarah, who I keep in touch with, although she is doing something totally different -- psychology.
RECORD: A CD by Shola Ama.
PET: Patchy, a pit bull terrier.
CAR: A Rover that my dad bought for me as a present when I was 18.
PRIZE: I took part in a crime prevention competition at Walton County High School in Nelson when I was 13 or 14.
AMBITION: From an early age I told my dad I was going to be a barrister -- I had seen them on television and liked the wigs and gowns. I wanted to wear them and I have worked hard. I told my dad to watch me, I would prove to him I would be a barrister. Next year I am hoping to work in Manchester Crown Court with clients in civil and criminal cases.
JOB: A university placement at the Citizens' Advice Bureau in Stoke-on-Trent. I learned quite a lot there.
HERO/HEROINE: On the world stage, Benazir Bhutto and Nelson Mandela. On a personal level my mum and dad, who have always been encouraging and supportive. I also admire Cherie Blair.
