VOLUNTEERS are needed to help with fund-raising for Blackburn and Darwen cancer research committees.
Cancer Research UK is the largest charity in the country since Cancer Research Campaign merged with the Imperial Cancer Research Fund.
And the East Lancashire committees are appealing for help in raising thousands of pounds towards better cures and treatments for cancer.
Susan Whalley, chairman of Darwen committee, said: "If anyone has a few hours a week free to help us we would love to hear from them.
It is great to meet socially while at the same time you know you are doing some good."
Cancer Research UK spends £8 million annually in the North West on science research.
Anyone wishing to join should contact Susan on 01254 771844 or Eric on 01254 813060.
