DERIAN House Children's Hospice is launching a fund-raising drive for the annual Forget Me Not Appeal.
The appeal will be launched on Sunday, May 12, with the Forget Me Not service, an annual event for bereaved parents and relatives to commemorate the lives of children who have died at the hospice.
During the appeal, which runs until the second week of June, Derian will be holding store collections, flower sales and a variety of Forget Me Not events across the North West.
It is hoped the appeal will raise a considerable amount of money towards the £1 million the hospice needs each year.
The appeal, which has been running for several years, has provided the hospice with a huge financial boost from the sale of the tiny flowers, which help fund the care and comfort of terminally ill children and their families.
Derian House is looking for volunteers in all areas to help with the promotion of the appeal.
People who can spare a couple of hours to help in any way at all, or businesses, libraries or churches who can display boxes of flowers to sell, should contact 01257 271271.
