GRAB your flags and don your wigs....Ewood Park is gearing up for a party!
For Rovers are planning a fun-packed finale when the curtain falls on the Premiership season against Fulham on Saturday May 11th.
And top of the bill will be the much-delayed celebration of the club's famous Worthington Cup triumph against Tottenham Hotspur at the Millennium Stadium back in February.
Celebrations were put on hold while Rovers concentrated on assuring Premiership survival. But, now that goal has been achieved, Ewood is ready to rock.
"We promised the fans that we would let our hair down when the time was right and the final home game of the season provides the perfect opportunity," said Ewood chief executive John Williams.
Rovers are urging supporters to make it a colourful 'wigs and flags' afternoon and officials are hoping for a capacity crowd to pump up the volume.
"After the match the intention is for the players to come back out with the
Worthington Cup and do a lap of honour to mark the feat of our first major cup win in some 74 years," added Williams.
"We also have the player and goal of the season awards to make and it should be a carnival atmosphere."
Prior to the game, almost 100 local high school pupils will be pumping up the volume in a song and dance spectacular -- 'The Arena of Life.'
It's a highly-polished professionally produced show which is sure to generate an electric atmosphere before the game.
Action on the pitch starts at around 2.20 pm and fans are advised to take their seats early.
To help attract a bumper last day attendance, Rovers are also offering discount admission prices of £10 (adults), £5 (senior citizens) and £3 (under 16s).
The prices will apply to all areas and tickets are now on sale -- and selling fast!
