THE worldwide web is available for visitors to Rawtenstall Library, now a new computer suite has been opened.
The 17 PCs with Internet and e-mail facilities are not the only changes at the library, because a lift has been installed to allow access for everyone to the upstairs facilities.
A new DVD lending service has also been introduced.
To celebrate the changes the usually quiet library was fitted with a large screen TV which played DVDs throughout the day.
An exhibition was also launched as part of local history week on the life and work of local textile manufacturer David Whitehead.
The exhibition runs until Saturday.
