BAMBER Bridge are one game off maintaining their place in the UniBond Premier Division following yesterday's win over Radcliffe Borough in the play-offs.
Bridge, who finished bottom of the Premier Division, had thought they were relegated a couple of weeks ago but were given a reprieve when Bishop Auckland were demoted and First Division runners-up Ossett Town didn't get promoted because their grounds weren't up to standard by the end of April.
And, after hastily assembling their side together again, Bridge beat First Division Radcliffe 3-2 in extra time in front of 350 fans.
In the other semi-final, an all First Division tie, third placed Ashton defeated fourth placed Spennymoor 3-1 at Hurst Cross.
Bamber Bridge and Ashton will now meet on Thursday.
BOTH Bishop Auckland and Ossett Town have appealed to the Football Association over the decision.
