A TODMORDEN junior school has received a grant of £6,645 towards work being done to create disabled access for the school's newly refurbished swimming pool.
The money has come from the funding charity committee Todmorden Together, and it is expected that the new ramp will provide easy access to the popular pool from Rochdale Road.
The donation has been welcomed by the chairman of Todmorden Council's amenities committee, Councillor Michael Goldthorpe.
He said: "This is going to make a big difference to those people who use Shade School's swimming baths and are disabled to an extent where they are going to benefit."
The grant is the second inside a year for the school from Todmorden Together, having recently awarded £7,300 to renovate the pool.
