A TEENAGER was held up at knifepoint by a mugger who demanded his wallet.
The victim didn't have a wallet, but the thief, who had a henchman, searched him, found cigarettes and a lighter and took them.
The victim was not injured in the robbery, at 11.55pm on Saturday outside the Koffee Kup, in Bacup Road, Waterfoot.
Police are linking the robbery with a second incident just six minutes later outside the Late Shop, further along Bacup Road.
A man walking along the road had a Nokia 62 10 phone worth £50 stolen from his waistband.
He saw one white man wearing a white hooded top and another man nearby.
The description from the first incident was of two white youths aged 16 to 17 wearing white clothing. Both had shaven heads.
Anyone who saw the suspects is asked to call Rawtenstall CID on 01706 237442.
