A TOP RAF parachute team will be dropping in on the two-day Bury Carnival Gala Weekend next month.
Organisers, the Bury Times Group, have booked the RAF Falcons Parachute Display Team for the event, to be staged at the Goshen playing fields on Saturday and Sunday, June 8 and 9.
The team will be one of the major highlights of the weekend gala and will perform on both days.
RAF Falcons Parachute Display Team comprises 11 jumping personnel, a drop-zone party of three and their commentator.
All members are qualified parachute jump instructors and have completed their military freefall course.
The team will either jump in small groups or as individuals and the display is certain to be a spectacular event for the 20,000 visitors expected to attend the Bury Carnival Gala Weekend.
Other attractions already lined up include a giant fun fair, three main arenas, American wrestling, East Lancs Dogs Display Team, a Samba band, street dancers and martial arts display.
There will also be a motor show, beer tent as well as a host of trade and charity stalls. Admission to the two-day event will be free.
Inquiries are welcomed from trade stands and craft stalls.
