TWO stunning individual goals from Darren Simpson started and ended Rosegrove Rail's cup triumph and helped erase the memory of missing out on the Division One title.
Simpson cracked home the first after 25 minutes and grabbed his second late on with a wonderful weaving solo effort.
Bacup came in to the game as underdogs but had a great chance to take the lead when Andy Grogan forced Brent Doogan in to a smart save.
It proved to be something of a turning point as Rosegrove went down the other end and scored.
Simpson shaped to hit it with his right but dragged the ball on to his left before firing high and hard past John Wright.
Eight minutes later, Rosegrove extended their lead when leading scorer Matt Hill galloped on to a long ball from Lee Kelly and centred for Simon Smith to fire home.
However, Bacup responded immediately and in their first piece of flowing football they carved open the Rosegrove rearguard. Veteran David Allen found Lee Nuttall and his superb through ball released David Lavelle who guided the ball beyond Doogan.
Rosegrove should have restored their two goal advantage just after the restart when Steven Tuite handle in the area. But John Wight picked the perfect time for his first penalty save when he brilliantly turned away Smith's spot kick.
Wight then did well to turn away Brett Doogan's low drive before Rosegrove went 3-1 up when Hill headed home Simpson's deep cross.
And it was route one, father and son stuff for Rosegrove's fourth when Doogan senior launch an enormous kick up field that Doogan junior raced on to and score with a clinically finish. Battling Bacup were not finish though and after Andy Grogan poked the ball past the keeper, Lavelle raced in to score his second of the game. But with 15 minutes remaining, Simpson finally put the game beyond Bacup when he picked up Hill's ball on the left, skipped around his marker and cleverly lifted the ball over the advancing Wight.
