COUNCILLOR Ashley Whalley says the Church Street redevelopment in Blackburn will be an award-winner (LET, May 7).
I find that hard to follow when it still has the three eyesore Pavilion Buildings.
Also, the art that is to be mounted on plinths there should not be so far off the mark that its subject has to be explained to the public. If artwork cannot distinguish itself, it should not be put on display.
As for the large stone balls, they give the street the look of a bagatelle table rather than a place for people to assemble.
