THE speed limit on a busy village road is being halved in the interests of safety.
Restrictions on Millhouse Lane in Croft will be slashed from 60mph to 30mph.
Part of the rural route has already been changed from a national speed limit area to a 30mph zone following an analysis by Warrington Council which revealed a number of speed related injuries in the area.
The proposal is to reduce the speed limit from a point 225 metres east of Millhouse Lane's junction with Step House Lane for a distance of 250 metres.
Any objections to the plans must be submitted to H Norris, Solicitor to the council, Town Hall, Sankey Street, Warrington, WA1 1UH by May 21.
