THE Mayor of Pendle, Coun Colin Waite, welcomed a delegation of Chinese business people to Nelson Town Hall during his last week of civic duties.
The group from Changzhi arrived in Nelson yesterday as part of a tour of the UK. They visited Northern Technologies, in Netherfield Road, to view its facilities and discuss its wide range of work.
Presentations were given by representatives from Pendle Council's regeneration unit, Northern Technologies, East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce and the North West Aerospace Alliance.
The Mayor accepted a gift of a mounted tree fossil millions of years old from Li Yuanying and Lu Rizht.
