PENDLE people chosen to take part in a film telling the story of the Pendle Witches were given an insight in to their characters this weekend.
A group of around 20 people met at the Devereux Preparatory School, in Nelson, on Saturday, to receive their scripts and musical scores and to try on their costumes for the first time.
Film writers and composers Pat Hagon and her son Richard have written a script for the film In The Shadow of Pendle Hill, which features the lives and trial of the Pendle Witches, will be recorded between August 3 and 18 with a base at Barley Village Hall.
All the local actors and singers, were selected at auditions in Colne in February.
The film will be taken on tour around various counties across the country and will also be brought out on video, which local shops have already taken an interest in selling.
