IF YOU had put your money on Pump St winning the Blackburn Community league cup before the game you would have been locked up.
But the resiliant youngsters played well to outwit champions Swallowfield and take the game into extra-time.
Swallowfield were guilty of missing a whole host of chances and should have wrapped this one up in normal time.
But Pump St keeper, Sohail Mohmed was having none of it and pulled off some great saves to thwart the Swallowfield attack. Irfan Valli Adam kept Pump St ticking and in extra-time released man of the match Irfan Patel to score the winner. Manager Sanaullah Ahmed was delighted and wanted to thank his side for doing him proud, "Everyone played their hearts out, we needed this. I would like to thank out sponsor Ramzan Ali Hassan for giving everyone a chance to play."
Elsewhere the super stars of H and S completed the double after beating Kokonis in the cup final. FJM came from two goals down to beat Poshaak and clinch the group cup to go with the championship.
