AN ELDERLY dog with a mystery past has been found a new home, thanks to caring Lancashire Evening Telegraph readers.
A couple living in Oswaldtwistle read the story of Zeb, who had 'just turned up' in a field in Bolton-by-Bowland. He was housetrained and therefore not a cast-out sheepdog.
Pam Kent, of Croasdale Drive, Clitheroe, rescues and re-homes collies and took Zeb in, hoping to find him a permanent home.
A couple with a spaniel offered to take him, and he has now settled in well.
Pam said: "It was all down to whether the spaniel accepted him.
"The spaniel came up to Zeb and licked his nose and they were friends right away."
