BRITISH Heart Foundation members raised more than £850 with their second annual charity dinner.
Around 80 guests enjoyed the dinner party, raffle and auction at the Whitehall Hotel, Darwen as part of 21st anniversary celebrations.
After-dinner speaker Dr Peter Barnes of Hope Hospital gave a talk reminiscing on his early days of hospital life. Master of ceremonies was Adrian Dolthin.
Dennis Tobin, chairman of the Blackburn with Darwen district, said: "Events like these go a long way to help with the British Foundation's work to help with heart research, education and specialised equipment."
Two original paintings, donated by a local artist, raised more than £100 at auction.
The foundation is holding a dads versus dads football match in Langho on Sunday and 'Jump Rope For Hearts' will take place in schools in the near future.
