REGARDING the column by Anila Baig in your Asian Image March issue. I read the article three to four times and many thanks for hitting the nail right on the head.
As a practicing Muslim I usually avoid all else and concentrate hard on the propogation of Islam (which sadly is very misunderstood by many Muslims and gladly understood - as should be- by many Muslims) but I could not resist responding to your article regarding achieving women or should we say, 'mourn our losses'.
We have lost our samaritan, caring neighbour, agony aunt (plenty vacancies there!), advice cabinet, welcoming hostess, live-in chef, shoulder to cry on, nanny on call and....the list is endless.
The result is depression etc and the excuse is 'Pata nahin, time hi nahin, milta hey, wakt may say barkat chala gaya!'
Once again thanks for the article. May Allah guide mankind to success in this life and the hereafter (Ameen).
A Muslim housewife,
agony aunt....etc etc
