A MAN was robbed of his wallet after being threatened with a 12inch combat knife in broad daylight on Morecambe sea front.
In another incident, a schoolboy was threatened after cashing a benefits cheque for a relative at a post office in the resort.
In the first robbery, a 21-year-old Heysham man was walking close to the public toilets on Marine Road west, opposite Regent Road.
As he walked behind the toilets, he was approached by a man carrying what has been described as a 'Rambo' style knife, which was held against the man's throat.
The robber demanded the man hand over his wallet and, fearing for his safety, the man did so.
The black wallet contained £120 in cash and the man's birth certificate.
The thieves struck at around 2.15pm on Monday.
The first robber is described as male, white, 6ft tall, of heavy build, clean-shaven and was described as having a squint.
He spoke with a slight Scottish accent and wore a thin blue jacket tied around his waste and a pair of black Rockport shoes.
His accomplice is also male, white and is described as 30 years old.
He wore a green jumper and blue jeans.
In the other incident, a 15 year old boy was leaving the West End Post Office, Lancashire Street at 10.08am on Monday when he was grabbed by a gang of thugs and pushed into an alleyway.
The gang searched the boy for property but he was able to keep hold of his property and was able to escape.
