A GROUP of fund-raisers will walk from Darwen Tower to Turton Tower on Sunday to boost funds for three children's charities.
The English Town and Country Carnival Organisation hopes to build on last year's success by raising more than £2,000 for the Derian House Appeal, the Bungalows at Elm School, Preston, and for research into the Siris coughing syndrome, from a series of events throughout the year.
Seven walkers will set off from Darwen Tower for the trek across the moors to Turton at 9.30am, led by Shirley Morris.
Husband Kevin hopes to complete the latter end of the 10-mile walk as he is recovering from a recent heart attack.
And daughter Alison will get in on the act with a sponsored sky-dive from Carnforth on May 26.
Anyone wishing to sponsor the organisation can ring Shirley on 01254 775407.
