BOLTON and Bury Riding Club is to stage a special commemorative Queen's Golden Jubilee Horse Show next month.
The event, which will attract competitors from all over the country, will take place at the club's showground in Bradley Fold at the rear of Dobbie's Sports and Social Club.
And the major attraction at the show, to be held on Sunday, June 2, will be a grand parade of all horses and riders who will assemble in the two large rings on the field.
The event will feature 70 classes including jumping, ridden and in-hand showing. Around 150 competitors are expected to take part in the show, which begins at 9.30pm.
The parade itself is scheduled to start at 1pm and the show will finish at 5pm.
Gary McClung of Bolton and Bury Riding Club said: "This is a special show for the Queen's Golden Jubilee. The club is now in its ninth year.
"During the grand parade, we will hopefully have a piper playing God Save the Queen. And all the competitors will be presented with a commemorative medal."
Riders who wish to take part in any of the classes can enter on the day. Entry to the public is free.
