A PUB in Crawshawbooth has won the Spring award from real ale lovers CAMRA.
The White Bull in Burnley Road serves a selection of Manchester-based Beartown Brewery ales -- much to the delight of the East Lancashire branch of the Campaign for Real Ale.
Branch secretary Gordon Smith said: "Every season we award our accolade to a pub of our choice. But first we go along, have a few drinks and check it out.
"At the White Bull we also checked the carpet! It's tartan and once seen never forgotten.
"We then have a meeting and of the seven pubs put forward for the award, the White Bull won."
Landlady Elaine Bibby said: "We were delighted to win the CAMRA Spring title and are looking forward to being presented with the award on May 26."
