A TEENAGER accused of passing counterfeit currency has been told to co-operate with the probation service, or face custody.
Ian Thompson, of Greenfield Street, Haslingden, received his warning from Bury magistrates after they were told that he failed to turn up for appointments set for him in order for reports to be prepared.
Thompson, 18, faces two matters of passing counterfeit Scottish £20 notes at Knaresborough in March of last year and in Ramsbottom in September 2001.
His case was adjourned until June 7 for reports to be prepared.
Bail was given, but on condition that Thompson keep the appointment set for him. The magistrates warned that if he did not, he would be remanded in custody to allow their preparation.
