RAMSBOTTOM will be going green starting on Sunday with a host of events to celebrate Bury Environment Week.
On Sunday at 4am a dawn chorus walk will leave Summerseat Nature Reserve and there will be a series of guided walks through the former Binnex factory in Summerseat starting at 10am.
All week there will be environmental collection made at Ramsbottom Library when stamps, printer cartridges, wool and old prescription glasses can be handed in.
On May 21, an environmental story time will be held at Ramsbottom Library for pre-school children from 11am.
A guided walk will also be held on May 21 from 7.30pm at Summerseat Nature Reserve with walkers meeting at the railways station car park.
Finally, on May 26 from 10am there will be a Wildlife Trust Working Party at Summerseat Nature Reserve. Places can be booked on 01204 386876.
Bury Metro's executive member for environment and transport Coun Stella Smith said: "It has turned into a wonderful celebration of everything that is green."
