STAFF from companies across East Lancashire dug deep to make sure the pennies and the pounds counted, as part of East Lancashire Hospice's Bring a Pound to Work week.
Employees from 29 companies put their hands in their pockets to take £1 with them, in aid of the hospice in Park Lee Road, Blackburn.
The hospice needs to raise £300,000 each year to keep running. Organisers say they have already received £1,000 from the day but the final figure could be higher.
The day could becomean annual event.
