A 20-YEAR-OLD woman was indecently assaulted after being approached by a man in the street.
The victim, who has not been named by police, was attacked in Peart Street, Burnley.
Police today appealed for witnesses to the incident and revealed they may be looking for an attacker with psychiatric problems.
The incident took place on Saturday, May 4, at 7.40am and police would like to hear for anybody who may have been in the vicinity at the time.
The young woman, from Burnley, was approached by a male who made indecent suggestions to her. She carried on walking in the direction of Burnley General Hospital and a few seconds later the man pushed her against a wall and made more indecent suggestions towards her. The woman then pushed him away and ran off.
Police say the man is in his early 20s, 5ft 5ins, short blond hair, blue eyes, pale skin, clean shaven, wearing blue jeans and a cream jumper. Anybody with information should call 01282 425001.
