LEIGH RMI's talented striker Michael Twiss has joined Chester City who beat off the challenge of York, Doncaster and Morecambe to the 25-year-old who scored 15 goals in 34 games last season.
He signed for the Railwaymen last September after being released by Port Vale and quickly made an impact with a series of stunning goals. He was a trainee at Manchester United before moving to Sheffield United.
Southport were reported to the Conference for making an illegal approach to the player before his contract ran out at the end of the season.
