HUNDREDS of people gathered at Nelson's Unity Hall to honour Mohammed's Birthday in connection with the Islamic celebration Eid.
Organiser Safdar Ahmed said that more than 200 people turned up on Sunday afternoon to unite and rejoice.
He said: "We were not expecting so many people to turn up, but everybody who did come had an enjoyable afternoon of celebrating the birth of Mohammed. We had fun and games for the children who came to make it a good time for everybody."
