MEMBERS of the Whalley Pickwick Committee will be handing over funds to pay for a new defibrillator to the Whalley First Responders group on Saturday .
Chairman Henry Shepherd, along with staff from sponsors First North Western Railways, will be give the group £3,500 raised from the Whalley Pickwick Festival.
The money will pay for resuscitation equipment which helps patients who have suffered heart attacks.
It was raised during last year's festival, which featured traditional Dickensian treats, including barbecues, stalls and street entertainers.
