PATIENTS at Rossendale Hospital had something to get up and dance about as the hospital's radio station held an open weekend.
The event was aimed at promoting the station in the hospital, to let people know that the radio station is available and to get more volunteers to join the station to help existing volunteers out.
Secretary and station manager David Foster said: "We hold open days every so often just so we can let people know that we are here and what we offer."
The station has a number of programmes and goes out five nights a week from 8pm to 10pm. Mr Foster added: "We are here for the patients, whatever they request we play. We have a number of different programmes including a comedy programme on Wednesday and Christian music on Sunday, so its suits everybody."
