CRIME will be on the agenda when Bury East area board meets tonight (Tuesday May 21)
The meeting begins at 7pm at Holy Trinity Primary School in Cecil Street, Bury.
Area co-ordinator Jason Crausby will report on Local Community Safety Partnerships. These have been set up by area boards, working with the police, to co-ordinate the fight against crime and fear of crime at a local level.
The groups will meet regularly and people will be able to raise issues of concern through their councillors or at the area board meetings. Other agencies will also be represented.
Councillor Trevor Holt, area board chairman, said: "The meeting will begin with the usual open forum, and there will also be a presentation from the Sure Start Partnership regarding their work in Redvales. As always, all those with an interest in our area are welcome to attend."
