AN alcoholic almost fell out of her car when police stopped her after she left a pub at teatime.
Burnley magistrates heard how Elaine Denise Gouhar, 42. was abusive and aggressive and told police: "I know I am going to lose my licence. So what ?"
Gouhar, of Ruskin Street, Burnley, who was almost four times the legal limit, admitted driving with excess alcohol. She was bailed until June 14, for a pre-sentence report and was told her all options would be open.
Tom Snape, prosecuting, said at 4.50pm, police were flagged down by two men who said the defendant had been drinking in a pub all afternoon and had got into a car.
Officers saw a vehicle pulling from the car park and went to the driver's door. As a police officer opened it, Gouhar almost fell out. They could smell alcohol on her breath.
She said she had been drinking and when the officers turned her car ignition off, she told them she knew who had grassed her up.
Mr Snape said Gouhar became aggressive and abusive. She was taken to the police station and the lower of two tests showed 135 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
Brian Irlam, defending, said Gouhar had just been into hospital to detoxify.
