BREWSTERS pubs have joined forces with the British Dental Association to keep children smiling brightly.
Credit-card sized dental information cards were given out in the Fun Factory at The Gamecock in Whalley Road, Great Harwood, and The Queen Victoria in Victoria Road, Burnley, all last week.
And a survey run by the pub company as part of Smile Week showed that going to parties was the treat most likely to put a smile on children's faces. Visiting grandparents came second on the list and eating out in restaurants came third.
Gamecock manager Stuart Crolla said: "During smile week we gave out free dental care advice leaflets to ensure children look after their teeth so the smiles last a lifetime.
"We try to make sure it's smiles all round when children come to visit, especially in The Fun Factory - an indoor play area with everything from ball pools, slides, climbing ropes and Playstations on free play."
Fun Factory play areas are secured with Parentcam CCTV and electronic bib tagging systems.
