SOUTH KOREA 1, ENGLAND 1: STAND-in skipper Michael Owen says England will improve after being held to a 1-1 draw in their friendly with South Korea in Jeju today.
England gave an encouraging first-half display taking the lead when Owen pounced in the 25th minute.
But the hosts, who beat Scotland comfortably on Friday gave them a few anxious moments.
And after making seven changes at the interval and changing from 4-3-3 to 4-4-2, England were rocked on their heels when South Korea equalised on 51 minutes.
Owen said: "It was a good run-out, and there were no injuries, which was more important than the result.
"We were feeling our way, with the climate, and we can improve on that from now."
Owen Hargreaves, one of only four to play the whole match, was the only injury scare with a slight knee strain.
Manager Sven Goran Eriksson was pleased with the performance, and especially of his young Bayern Munich star.
He said: "Hargreaves played very well. He is hard working and very quick."
