TWO planning applications for Fletcher Bank Quarry, Shuttleworth, have been refused -- but it is not the end for the applicant.
Lancashire County Council had been asked to approve plans to erect a recycling facility and to restore the northern part of the quarry by using a range of controlled wastes.
A council spokesman said: "Although both these applications were refused, there is another application for a review of the conditions on an old mining permission and we are waiting for an environmental impact assessment before determining the application."
