THE Ghanaian Olympic Committee has asked Chorley schools to adopt a school in Ghana to keep the link going.
Albert Tettey, Secretary General of the committee, said:"We hope contact will be the beginning of greater bonds of friendship.
"This will help crystallise the friendship between our countries."
A list of schools interested in a Chorley partnership is available from Chris Mellor at the council offices on 01257 515320.
Thirty Ghanaian athletes are due to arrive in the first week of July to take part in games.
