YOUNGSTERS at Trawden Forest Primary School have been learning about the African culture during a special arts fortnight.
They had a visit from African woman Miso'shi yesterday who explored Ghanaian storytelling, chants, stories, mime and drumming with them before teaching them how to prepare African meals.
Other activities this week include a performance by Dragonsmouth Puppet Theatre and an evening concert featuring a video about a typical African village, the Accrington Male Voice Choir and the school brass group, creative writing workshops, a performance by the Wise Moves Dance Company and a talking and answering session with local MP Gordon Prentice.
