A MAN facing an attempted murder charge has been remanded in custody after a brief preliminary hearing at Preston Crown court.
Royd Ullah, 27, of Whalley Road, Accrington, is accused of attempting to murder Andrew Holt, the 37 year old managing director of a business based at Huncoat, Accrington.
Ullah was remanded until August 2nd when he will face a plea and directions hearing.
The court heard that Mr Holt is still in hospital following the alleged attack and is said to be comfortable.
