MORE than four acres of gardens full of hundreds of flowers will be open to the public next weekend.
Bleasdale Tower, in the Trough of Bowland, is hoping to improve on the success of a similar event two years ago after last year's was cancelled due to the foot and mouth outbreak.
The gardens, full of rhododendrons, roses, azaleas and trees, and dating back to 1847, will be open from noon until 5pm on Saturday and from 2-5pm on Sunday .
The event is the annual fundraiser for Bleasdale School, with proceeds split three ways between the village's school, parish hall and church.
As well as the usual stalls, crafts, games and scouts' barbecue, there will also be beagles used in the annual Bleasdale Hunt on show on both days to mark its 80th anniversary.
