TWENTY-FOUR young anglers braved poor weather to battle for honours in the latest Osprey's angling contest.
Daniel Hudon and Brian Richardson tied for first place in the senior section with catches of 11oz. In third place with 6oz was Darren Talbot.
The junior section saw 13-years-old Paul Prescott take first place, making good use of an end peg draw to net 1-6-0. Second place went to Ryan Sinclair (12) with 1-3-8 from the other end peg. In third place was Mathew Secombe with a single tench for 14oz. Fourth was 10-years-old Chris Birchall.
On Saturday the Osprey junior team fished a knockout on Meadowview Fisheries at Lymm. They finished third from six teams to qualify for the final at Blythe Waters, Solihull on June 9.
James Hibbert finished second individually with 14-10.
