A DAKOTA, Hurricane and Spitfire will perform a fly past along the length of the East Lancashire Railway as part of a war weekend by the volunteer-run line.
On June 1 at Rawtenstall Station there will be a delegation of American ex-servicemen from Burtonwood who will be visiting the railways to see a re-enactment of a battle at 2pm.
American GIs, German and British 'soldiers' will stage the battle in the sidings near the station and the culmination of the action will be the fly past at 3pm by the three historic planes.
