OVER 200 former pupils of Leigh Girls' Grammar recalled happy memories of schooldays at their annual re-union dinner.
The event held at Atherton Formby Hall attracted 16 teachers including Miss Dorothy Bannister and Miss Irene Jordan, now in their eighties.
Old girls met up from all parts of Britain and abroad, including Dwynwen Kovacs (nee Williams) who timed her visit from Canada to coincide with the get-together.
The next reunion will be on April 4 next year at the same venue, with tickets will be available from January.
On Friday, June 28, LGGS former pupils will once again be given the chance to tour their old Windermere Road school, now occupied by Leigh Central Primary.
Visitors, who should note there is no parking space available at the school, will be welcome from 1.30pm onwards.
