GEOFF and Debbie Monks played a starring role in BBC 1's Death by DIY.
The couple lived in what would obviously be a lovely house if it wasn't such a complete disaster zone.
The Wigan couple have been together for 26 years and lived in the house where nothing is finished for 12. There are missing walls, doors and holes throughout the property. Even the toilet is not screwed down and the bathroom has a door but no wall!
Apparently Geoff, now 46, gets fed up of doing one job and starts something else before anything is finished. He plans to have the house ready by the time he retires.
All I can say is poor old Debbie. She must be a martyr.
If he'd been mine he'd have been throttled a long time ago.
I'm no Handy Andy, but like thousands of happy DIY-ers I'll have a go at keeping my property in reasonable nick.
I must admit though I had a bit of calamity last week. I decided to re-grout the worktop tiles. They looked lovely and white until I started to wipe them over and bits of the new stuff came away.
I'm told, by he who knows better, I should have dug out all the old stuff.
Next time I'll take an even shorter cut and use one of those whitening pens.
