POLICE have launched a murder inquiry after a man was found with fatal gunshot wounds in Bury.
Police were called to an address in Goldfinch Drive by paramedics early today.
Officers arrived at the scene shortly after 3.15am and found the body of a man lying inside the house.
Details about the identity of the man have not yet been released.
The body remained at the house as forensic experts examined the scene.
The house was sealed off and a mobile incident room was at the scene as officers made house-to-house inquiries.
Detectives are appealing for anyone with information about the shooting to come forward.
