A WOMAN shop assistant was pushed into a back room during a robbery at a Prestwich video store.
She was working in the Movie Zone store in Bury Old Road at 2.30pm on Sunday (May 19) when a man posing as a customer entered the shop.
He threatened the woman with violence before grabbing a quantity of cash from the till. The robber then bundled the woman into the back room and demanded more money.
He then fled with the contents of the till and 60 new release DVDs, carried in Movie Zone carrier bags. The robber had forced the worker to fill one of the bags while he filled a second one.
The man was last seen carrying two white plastic bags with red and pink writing on one side.
The woman was not injured but was left shaken by the incident.
The raider is described as white, 6ft, skinny with stubble on his chin. He was wearing black combat trousers, dark grey top, a grey baseball cap and black sunglasses.
Anyone who saw the robbery or saw the man enter or leave the video store should contact Whitefield CID on 0161 856 8248 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
