PLANS for the long-awaited Tithebarn regeneration project are set to be unveiled to the public.
Preston City Council, together with a team of architects, and funding from the Grosvenor Estates, have plans to transform a 60,500 square metre area of Preston, centred around the bus station. The proposed regeneration is likely to include designs for a new £15 million library and museum complex, as well as bars, restaurants, hotels, smaller shops, and possibly department stores, housing and offices.
If the plans are passed by the council at a meeting today, a special model and selection of pictures will be on hand at the Town Hall tomorrow, Friday, with representatives from the groups involved.
Then, after a week, the display will be taken out on the road for a series of area forums.
