A PROGRAMME of exciting comedy events, set to bring some of the best stand-up acts off the city circuits to perform at the South Ribble Banqueting Suite in Leyland, continues this month.

The next Comedy Bites event will take place on 31st May 2002 and will feature Mike Wilkinson, City Life Comedian of the Year finalist and a regular at the Comedy Store & Jongleurs Comedy Club.

Mike has delighted audiences on the comedy circuit around the UK, combining stand-up comedy with incisive wit, to produce hilarity that appeals to all ages. One of the most acclaimed stand-up comic talents to emerge form the comedy scene in recent years!

Mike's meteoric rise looks set to continue unabated. If you haven't discovered him yet, do not miss him at South Ribble Banqueting Suite, and remember where you saw him first!

The evening will also feature James Dowdeswell, a quirky impressionist who has been described on the comedy circuit as "addictive!" He combines comedy characters & sketch show comedy in a potentially intoxicating cocktail of revolutionary stand-up. As usual, the audience will have the opportunity to enjoy a meal in the Banqueting Suite before the entertainment begins and the evening will be rounded off with a disco.
