A POULTON band is brassed off after thieves stole instruments from its headquarters.
The musical burglars broke in to Poulton-le-Fylde Band's Station Road headquarters on May 9 and took instruments including several cornets and a horn valued at around £4,000.
The lost instruments were lined up for prospective young players on the band's waiting list.
Although the band is insured, treasurer Andy Moore says he doesn't yet know when the instruments will be replaced.
Since the break-in, the band has increased its security measures and no longer keeps any items of value on its premises.
The band is looking for new members to join its 100/200 Club. Both monthly and six-monthly draws are made.
If anyone has information regarding the robbery, or wishes to join the 100/200 Club, they should contact Mrs I. R. MacPhee on 886823 or www.poultonband.org.uk.
