THREE OF Lancaster's first team players from last season could be lining up against them next season.
Stalybridge Celtic are claiming the signatures of Colin Potts, Lee Clitheroe and Paul Sparrow on Bosman free transfers.
Stalybridge released their entire squad after relegation from the conference last term and have moved quickly to recruit the trio.
Potts is arguably the biggest loss for City.
The pacy winger has become a fans' favourite at the Axe since signing from Chorley, and his crosses will be sorely missed by the Dolly Blues strikers.
Clitheroe is also a winger, who has been in and out of the City side for the past two years.
Brilliant on his day, Clitheroe has often been inconsistent, especially when played on the left to accommodate Potts.
Injury-plagued Sparrow completes the departing trio.
The former Preston North End ace has played in the heart of City's defence, often alongside another player set to leave, transfer listed club skipper Kenny Mayers.
Brian Welch is still weighing up a new offer from boss Tony Hesketh, as City's bid to rebuild for next season.
