A FULL house is expected when Forever Bury, the Bury Football Club Supporters' Trust, is officially launched at the Castle Leisure Centre on Sunday evening.

The trust, which will give the supporters a seat on the board for the first time in the Shakers' 117-year history, is seen as crucial to the club's future progress, once out of administration.

The event will be chaired by GMR presenter Jimmy Wagg and it is expected many queries surrounding the future of Bury FC will be cleared up in what is sure to be a fascinating question and answer session at the end of the evening.

Speaking on the night will be Save Our Shakers fundraising chairman, Neville Neville, who will give an update of the current takeover situation and outline the relationship between the SOS Trust, Bury Football Club and Forever Bury.

Neville will also explain the history of the SOS appeal and how the fundraising trust's bid for Hugh Eaves' shareholding was formed.

From the club's perspective, joint chairman John Smith will give his views on how the administration situation arose and explain how the directors see the future management of the club, and the role of Forever Bury in the future.

With first team boss Andy Preece on holiday, Graham Barrow is expected to give an insight into the difficulties in managing a club under strict financial constraints and spell out the bright future there could be ahead once stability is achieved.

It is hoped one of the Shakers first team players will also give their views of the situation at Gigg.

In the wake of Bury Metropolitan Council's decision to sponsor the teams shirts to the tune of £50,000 for next season, council leader John Byrne is to deliver a statement of support for Forever Bury and talk of the practical role the authority is playing with the club.

Supporters Direct representative Dave Boyle will give his views on the aims of fans' trusts and explain how supporters of other teams have participated in their club's futures.

There will also be an appearance from former Shakers' favourite, John Bramhall, now a Professional Footballers' Association official, explaining the role of the PFA on supporters' involvement and journalist David Conn of the Independent who has followed the Bury FC story closely.

Finally, statements will be heard from Forever Bury spokesmen Brian Richardson and Ian Harrop before Jimmy Wagg will chair what is sure to be a lively question and answer session.

Application forms will be available on the night and membership fees are £10 for individuals; £5 concessions with a family membership (two adults, two children) £25.

With a limit of 1,000 on the venue early attendance is advised. Doors open at 7pm and bar facilities have been arranged.
